Poetry Submissions

PLEASE NOTE – We are currently closed for submissions but intend to open them again in mid-2020.

We welcome quality writing from across the spectrum of poetic styles and practices. There is no set deadline for submissions; a selection of new poetry and writing will be published once a month. The editor endeavours to respond within 6 weeks of submission.

In order for the editor to get a sense of the poet’s work, these submissions should consist of a maximum of three poems that, when taken together, add up to less than one hundred lines. On occasion, the editor may ask for other examples of the contributor’s work for further reflection and scope. We accept simultaneous submissions but request that you inform us if your work is accepted elsewhere.

In line with our Creative Commons license, the poet retains copyright to their work but we would request that the poet cite the Glasgow Review of Books as the site of first publication.

Please email your work as attachments (Word or PDF) to glasgowreview [at] gmail [.] com, writing “Poetry Submission” in the subject line.

We very much look forward to reading your work.
