About
The Glasgow Review of Books is a review journal publishing short and long reviews, review essays and interviews, as well as translations, fiction, poetry, and visual art. We are interested in all forms of cultural practice and seek to incorporate more marginal, peripheral or neglected forms into our debates and discussions. We aim to foster discussion of work from small and specialised publishers and practitioners, and to maintain a focus on issues in and about translation. The review has a determinedly international approach, but is also a proud resident of Glasgow.
Vancouver’s Talon Books say: “The Glasgow Review of Books never fails to provide thoughtful, artful reviews that contextualize and intertextualize a book.”
The Glasgow Review of Books is published in Glasgow by Rebecca DeWald, Mark West, Eilidh McCabe, and Samuel Tongue. ISSN 2053-0560.

Where can one buy the Review? Oh, actually, is it a physical publication, or solely online? Best of luck with it.
Hi Impones,
At the moment we’re just online, though there are plans for a physical publication. Watch this space, or find us on Twitter and Facebook. Thank you for your interest!

My grandson Zohar Atkins has had three poems published in the Review. How do i check them out online?? Thank you. dianne
Hi Dianne – Zohar’s poems are on the front page of the website. Open the main page wwww.glasgowreviewofbooks.com and then click on the red picture with ‘New Poetry by Zohar Atkins’ on it and it will open up his poems. Hope that helps. They are fantastic poems!
Do you pay your contributors for their work?
Thank you for your question. We are in the process of applying for funding in order to be able to do this. As yet, we are unable to pay our contributors. As Editors, we are also unpaid.
